User Reviews

  • Great Stay

Excellent breakfast offered, main meal was well presented with very friendly helpful staff. Beds are very comfortable. Some updating is needed in the accessories department. eg. More modern bedspreads, bathroom taps need revamping just to bring it up to a 5 star rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our nights stay.

The Brisbane River is the heart of the city and there are several promenades and piers that have become tourist attractions in recent years. One of the most popular is Eagle Street Pier, where many river cruises depart and which the Brisbane city ferry also serves. Always lively on an evening, thanks to the wide selection of bars and restaurants, the pier also holds a market every Sunday.

  • Parliament House

Queensland's parliament meets in Brisbane and the government buildings are located in the city centre. Parliament House itself, situated on the corner of George Street, was built in the mid-19th century and is open to the public for guided tours every day. Many of the larger rooms are now used for temporary exhibitions and there is a souvenir shop in the main foyer.

As the capital of the state of Queensland, Brisbane is home to some of the region's most important cultural centres, including the Queensland Museum.
