When we booked our accommodation I requested a room away from traffic noise and as high up as possible . When we arrived we found our room was only 4 floors up of a multi-storey buliding and directly above a very busy bus stop. We requested another room but reception stated they were completely full but if we wanted to pay an extra $60 a night they would move us.We were staying a week so for us it meant a very noisy stay and a week of unsettled sleep. The lobby is very well presented and mostly freshly painted throughout but the rooms show signs of age. The bathroom tiles are chipped and cracked and the room furniture is looking old.The blanket on the bed is old and not one we wanted on us so it was put in the wardrobe. The kitchen space is tiny and there is a sign saying that if your toasting or cooking sets off an alarm and the fire brigade are called you will be charged over $900. A liitle worrying when it is such a tiny space. We found the location inconvenient, you're not really at Broadbeach or Surfers Paradise. All in all, I wouldn't choose to stay there again as there are so many better choices in that area.
