Palm Beach
This lovely Gold Coast suburb sits nestled between Tallebudgera Creek and Currumbin Creek. Twice voted the cleanest beach in Queensland, Palm Beach is a popular spot for families.
Just off the coast of Palm Beach lies Palm Beach Reef, one of the Gold Coast's largest and most diverse dive sites complete with rocky outcrops, soft corals, sponges and an abundance of marine life. The top of the reef sits just five metres below the water's surface, so it's a great spot for novice divers. Some of the most common reef specimens include stingrays and a variety of sharks and reef fish.
Though Palm Beach remains one of the Gold Coast's least developed precincts, it has become a haven for the rich and famous. Take a walking tour of the Palm Beach millionaire's row on Jefferson Lane to check out some of the Gold Coast's most stunning beachfront properties. A walk along the beach is likely to yield the best views.
Almost all Palm Beach accommodation puts you within a few short steps of the pristine sands and calm surf. You'll find luxury apartment rentals, family-friendly resorts and plenty of self-catering facilities.
