don't believe the "continental breakfast" title

We were extremely disappointed in what they claim as a continental breakfast....most people would expect hot dishes like bacon, eggs etc; croissants, danishes etc along with cereals, toast, juice etc etc but found this to be completely misleading...

all they had on offer was 6 cereals, 3 bread types for toast, apples, bananas, some dried fruit, juice, tea, coffee...

we thought the room was great but the owners need to change how they market their breakfast deal or be part of the room price ($8per adult - which is pretty steep for such a basic choices)

We stayed at this hotel for the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix long weekend. it was a great location for the trams to the circuit just a short walk.

BUT !!!!!!!!!! there was building work at the building next door which went all the way round to the back of the hotel where our room looked out onto. It was very noisy from 7.30am, even on the Saturday.!!!

I cant comment on facilities as we did not use any as we were out most of the time but there was a handy fridge in the room and a supermarket over the road.

There is one warning i need to mention!!! i had a pair of trousers disappear from my wardrobe? I phoned the hotel the next day after i double checked when i returned to my sisters home in brisbane just to make sure they were missing and i hadnt left them at her house ? but i hadnt!!!! The hotel checked to see if they were handed in but they werent? I told them i thought they had been took from my wardrobe and i neeeded to speak to somebody in charge, there was nobody available at the time but they would get somebody from housekeeping to ring me back. I am still waiting?!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately i had to leave for Malaysia the next day so i stillk havnt sorted this problem but i will be emailing hotel now i am home, but i just wanted to warn people to be aware and count the items in there wardrobe.
