My partner and I stayed in the queen superior suite for a night. It was AFL grand final night so all the hotels around were double to triple their usual price, including this same room on other websites. I was lucky to find it here. I chose to stay here because we were attending a ball at the Sebel which is just down Queens Rd. It wasn't walkable distance (in heels) but it was an easy tram ride away. My partner was initially concerned that Bayview Eden would be old but the photos looked decent. Actually it doesn't look that old because it has a new TV and is neatly kept. I requested the highest floor with views to Albert Park Lake and non-smoking. The lady at the reception granted me all three, had beautiful views of the lake and even got to use the pool in the morning. There's also a gym, but no spa or sauna from memory. We had complimentary breakfast which was really truly delicious! A whole range of food from cereal, to all fruits, to sausages, eggs, bacon, tomatoes.. the works. Ooh and free parking as well (enter from Queens Lane). Overall very satisfied with pricing (155AUD) for that night on high season time, excellent service and decent rooms. I hope this helps other people with their decision on where to stay!
