Palm Cove City Guide
Palm Cove is one of Australia's most popular vacation and wedding destinations, and it's easy to see why. Nestled right on the Coral Sea in northwest Australia, Palm Cove is a true seaside oasis!
A trip to Palm Cove isn't complete without a trip to the beach. Luckily, Palm Cove Beach isn't too crowded, so it's perfect for an afternoon of sunbathing or a morning walk from the Jetty down to Clifton Beach.
Palm Cove is also home to tons of crocodiles - so it's the perfect place to get to know these predators. It's rare to see one on the beach, though, so you'll have to head out on a guided tour or into a nature preserve to grab a glimpse!
Thanks to all of its water and wildlife, Palm Cove is the perfect place to go fishing. You can head out on a day-tour, charter your own boat, or simply fish from shore. No matter what you choose, it will be relaxing - just like the vibe of the entire town!
Most of Palm Cove's restaurants can be found overlooking the water. The biggest assortment is just north of French Street - where you will find everything from Italian cuisine to steaks, to Thai food.
One of the most popular places in town is Far Horizons Restaurant. Located inside the Angsana Resort, Far Horizons offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It will even set up tables outside under the palm trees!
For something totally unique, head to the
Cairns Night Zoo. Starting at 7.00pm sharp, your guides will treat you to an Australian barbecue. Then, you'll grab a torch and head off to meet the nocturnal creatures.
As you might expect, virtually all of the accommodation in Palm Cove is located near the water.
If you want to take advantage of the city's golfing, try to stay in the northern part of town, near the Palm Cove Country Club.
