Peregian Beach Guide
Peregian Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast is situated next to two national parks. It has a small village with shops, cafes and restaurants, and there are many outdoor activities to enjoy.
- Sports – Cycling, fishing, camping, surfing and mountain biking are possible all year round in the tropical climate here, and the town has its own skate park and bowling club.
- Sunshine Castle Bli Bli – An award-winning tourist attraction where knights fight it out in full armour in an authentic medieval setting of castles and battles.
- Eumundi Market – The biggest and best craft, produce and arts market in Australia, held Wednesday and Saturday.
There are plenty of places to dine out at Peregian Beach, including small cafes, bistros and more formal restaurants, and many of these offer home delivery as well. The Ming Garden Restaurant specialises in Chinese cuisine and is something of a landmark in the area with its pagoda facade. The Baked Poetry Cafe is raved about by everyone who discovers it because of its great breakfasts and lunches, and there are a number of vegetarian restaurants too.
The Peregian Environmental Park and Lake Weyba National Park are close to Peregian Beach and contain great walks and activities for the whole family. There is also a friendly village on Peregian Beach itself, with cafes, shops and restaurants, and as this is an area of unspoilt natural beauty, there are many activities for the family. Trekking, surfing and taking mountain bikes into the surrounding parks and hills are all popular activities here.
There are a number of resorts, hotels and guesthouses at Peregian Beach, all of them within easy reach of the water and offering everything from just breakfast to full board.
