I loved it here. Sure the sound thumped through the wall from the club next door, but you don't stay in the X to have a good night's sleep and a 'relaxing' holiday. Speacial memories of the place. I will defineately stay at Lido again. The only pain is the damn key cards to get in. Nothing like standing there at 2 AM looking like you're trying to break in because the card reader's dodgy.
Clean room, comfortable bed and nice doona and pillows, OK bathroom plus a flat screen TV. A bit of a hassle when trying to check out as i couldn't find anyone. This place is probably better in the week when the Cross is a bit quieter. Convenient to all the nightlife and for the price I got on this site I'd go back again when next in Sydney.

The El Alamein Fountain is a memorial for those soldiers who died in the Egyptian battles in El Alamein, Egypt. These battles took place as part of the Second World War, in 1942. Bob Woodward, an architect born in Australia, designed this memorial and it was completed in 1961. This fountain’s orb-like shape makes it a stunning landmark, whether it is viewed by day or by night.
At the intersection of Victoria Street and Darlinghurst Road is the Kings Cross Fire Station, which was started in 1911 and completed in 1912. This three storey structure has become a popular tourist landmark for visitors to Sydney, particularly because of its Federation Free Style architecture. This building was designed by English architect Walter Liberty Vernon. This building is on Australia’s Register of the National Estate.
