    We were looking for a simple place to stay and this place more than met our expectations! The rooms are basic, but well maintained and came with a tv and basic kitchen unit which was perfect for us. Given that the utilities were shared I was amazed at the cleanliness of all of the bathrooms. I am usually a fancy hotel person, but I would highly recommend the lodge to anyone looking for great value accomodation! Thanks guys - we'll be back for sure!!

    We were in the top floor and it was really warm and stuffy even with the fan on but it was pretty warm outside at this time as well. Overall enjoyed the stay and staff were very helpful. Would stay again and recomend to others

  • Garden Island

    Garden Island is so named because it was the first food source for the colony in 1788, also the date on what is believed the oldest (colonial) graffiti in Australia. “FM 1788” is believed to be Frederick Meridith, who tended the gardens and was steward to Captain John Marshall, HMS Sirius.
