Never again.
Sep 2009 - Wazz, LA
I will not be returning to this place again.
The amenities are ok, but nothing to write home about. The bathroom was nice, as was the general cleanliness, however thats where the good experience ends.
We have the most loveliest balcony, complete with outdoor furniture and all. The only problem that the door to the balcony has been locked shut. When I enquired about this at reception, the rather rude attendant informed us that they are locked to everyone and that no access can be given.
This is simply poor, especially as the windows only open a matter of centimetres, allowing next to no fresh air or air circulation.
The amenities area (gym, pool, spa, sauna) lacks any signifcant change room facilities, with the rest room providing two toilet cubicals and one shower cubical. Further to this, the spa is no more heated than the pool.
But the last straw for me was when I returned to my apartment, with my freshly picked up lunch in one hand, and a few grocery bags in the other, only to have the swipe card deny me entry into my apartment.
So I gathered up my bags, went downstairs to the checkin desk only to find a massive que of guests checking in, and only two attendants on the counter.
I made an executive decision, that in leui of standing in line and letting my lunch go cold, I head back up stairs and eat my lunch in the hallway sitting on the floor.
After a while, I went back to checkin and the man at the desk re-issued a card because apparently my card had expired . . . expired a whole 24 hours before I was due to checkout. Go figure.
Not only would I not recommend people stay here, I would recommend people run and get as far out of Sydney as possible. This place has given me no end of hassles.
I may even consider meeting in Melbourne next time.
