Nadi City Guide
Located on Fiji's western coast, Nadi is called the "gateway to Fiji". As the country's third-largest city, Nadi is a city that revolves around tourism.
Like the rest of the Coral Coast, Nadi is a popular beach town. However, if you want to lie in the sand in a place that's more desolate, take a short ride over to Denarau Island.
No matter what you're in the mood for, the Denarau Port can give it to you. A busy fishing wharf, the port is the starting point for many of the tours in the area - and where you can catch a ride to Denarau Island. The port is also a great place to shop and eat.
When you're not out on the water, take a look at the architecture around town. Much of it has a middle-eastern influence. Be sure to check out the Hindu Temple on Main Street.
Nadi is home to several fun pubs that get lively after dark. One of the most popular is the Bounty Restaurant & Bar - which has a fun bar and an outdoor beer garden!
Most of the hotels in Nadi offer live entertainment a little earlier - during cocktail hour.
If you want to shop while still smelling the ocean air, you're in luck. The Nadi Street Market is right near the water, and it offers a ton of different goodies. With all of the different smells floating around, a trip to the market can be a major workout for your nose!
If you want to stay in the middle of the action, look at one of the hotels near Port Denarau. There are also a number of hotels on the northern side of town, near Namaka.
If your budget allows for it, stay at one of Nadi's resorts. This way, you can take advantage of both luxurious accommodation and free entertainment.
