OK for the price - no more

A cheap Auckland hotel, with no excitement , but the price and reports reflect this. But it OK and not a hell-hole.

We found it a handy location for the city and Queen St, around the harbour area etc within easy walking distance. Parking was just across the road.

Cheap , basic and probably reflected in the price which was good.

What I liked is the location, just some blocks away of Queens St. The room didnt match the price, and wasn't very clean.

I would recommend this hotel if you have to stay 1 or 2 nights. The lady at reception was really nice.

Firslty, when I arrived I was informed that the deposit that I paid online was not a deposit but rather your websites booking fee.

Had I known that I would have booked directly with the hotel or any other hotel. Rooms were third rate.

In South Africa, for that price I could have booked into a clean professionally run Holiday Inn. Indian gent at reception was very helpful but Taiwanese was downright rude. Restuarant in hotel lobby is filthy dirt, their dirt bins were scattered on the pavement. Taxi could not off load luggage and eventually refused to drop me there, he drove past and I had to walk with my suitcase which by the way, wheels broke off, on flight.

I left Auckland by the 03rd day.
