Devonport is just a twelve-minute ferry ride from central Auckland. The main attraction here is North Head by Torpedo Bay. From here there are stunning views of the Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park, Rangitoto Island and Auckland, and tunnels from the old military coastal defence base can still be explored.
