If you've ever wanted to cuddle a Koala bear, Lone Pine, the world's largest koala sanctuary is your place. In fact it's one of the few places it's still allowed. Set in attractive parklands beside the river, Lone Pine opened all the way back in 1927 with just two of the cute marsupials. Now it's home to over 130 together with other native fauna such as kangaroos, possums, dingoes, emus and Tasmanian devils. Lone Pine also features picnic and barbecue facilities.
