Hope Island Guide: Spend Less, Do More

Welcome to Hope Island

Hope Island is a suburb on Queensland's Gold Coast. It is becoming increasingly popular with visitors and is dominated by Hope Island Resort, containing world-class sports facilities.

Top sights

  • Links Hope Island - part of Hope Island Resort, this has an 18-hole golf course based on the British ‘links' model, and has a Mediterranean-style club building and a Terrace with fine views.
  • Hope Island Resort - The resort contains a world-class Olympic pool, marina, tennis courts and golf courses and is popular with all ages and groups from children and couples to retirees.
  • Marina Quays Market Village - This fabulous market is open six days a week and contains cafes, restaurants and entertainments as well as selling great local arts and crafts.

Dining

Most of the best dining out options on Hope Island are to be found in and around the marina. Here, boutique shopping can be enjoyed followed by some fine al fresco dining, and the Boardwalk Tavern in the marina is especially lively at weekends when there is live jazz music to eat and drink to. For child-friendly eateries try Marina Quays Tavern on Broadwater Avenue, which has a cocktail bar and lounge as well as playground.
