Coffs Harbour City Guide
Whether you want to stand under a waterfall, swim with the dolphins, visit historical landmarks, or fly high in the sky, a trip to Coffs Harbour is sure to give you a ton of great memories!
For a combination of history and outdoor adventure, head to Solitary Island. Built just off the coast of Coffs Harbour, Aussies first began to develop this island back in the 1800s. The historic landmark is also home to one of the largest populations of clown fish in the world.
For a birds-eye view of the area, take a helicopter tour. You'll travel fast enough to see a whole day's worth of sights in one hour, and you'll even swoop low enough to watch dolphins playing in the ocean!
If you want to experience something that looks like it belongs in a painting, head to The Waterfall Way. One of the most scenic drives in all of Australia, it offers a relaxing drive through the countryside with several amazing waterfalls sprinkled throughout.
For some family fun, take a swim with the dolphins. At the Pet Porpoise Pool you can swim, pet, and play with some of the smartest animals on earth!
While Coffs Harbour is not as fast-paced as Australia's bigger cities, some people still prefer to stay away from the centre of town. If you're one of them, head to the highly-secluded, 40-acre Pacific Bay Resort that's just north of the city. This resort caters to those who want to do it all.
For those on a budget, there is cheaper accommodation right near the city centre. And, as an added benefit, they are also a stone's throw from the water!
If you want to mix in some golf with your accommodation, look for one of Coffs Harbour's resorts. The Opal Cove Resort offers luxury and golf, and it also overlooks the beach.
