Mandurah Guide
It may be located on Western Australia's far side, but Mandurah is a popular vacation spot. While you're in town, you'll get to take advantage of mild temperatures, waterfront activities, and yummy seafood.
If you want to do what the locals do, go crabbing. From late January to April, Mandurah's Peel Inlet is chock full of blue swimmer crabs. You can catch them yourself just by wading out into the water with a metal basket.
If you make it into some deeper water, look for dolphins. Mandurah is home to tons of them, many of which are wild bottlenoses. You can see them from the decks of tour boats, or you can watch them from dry land at Dolphin Quay - a giant indoor market that overlooks the water.
If you want to go boating, the best place to leave from is the Port Bouvard Marina. Located just minutes from the Indian Ocean, the Port Bouvard Marina donates its profits to local charities. Even if you don’t have a boat, Port Bouvard is a great place to kick back, have a good meal, and watch the boats go in and out.
Whether you're travelling by foot, by car, or by boat, a meal at Toto's Pepper and Salt is a must. Located right at the Port Bouvard Marina - so you can dock your boat out back and come on in - Toto's features Italian delicacies, awesome seafood, and even a Sunday champagne brunch. You can eat inside, or dine out by the water.
With so many bays, inlets, and canals, it's hard not to find a hotel room in Mandurah that's right on the water! A room on The Point will give you a view of both the water and the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.
