Points of interest near Victoria Hall Accommodation Melbourne

Carlton Gardens

A World Heritage Site at the northeast end of Melbourne’s CBD, Carlton Gardens covers 26 hectares of land and contains a variety of attractions. There’s the Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne Museum and IMAX Cinema, tennis courts, and a fabulous kids’ playground. The gardens have beautifully preserved Victorian-era landscape architecture, sweeping lawns, manicured flower beds, and a wide variety of trees and native wildlife.

Federation Square

Glass, steel, and abstract geometry come together in Melbourne’s striking meeting place. Thousands of locals and visitors gather here to take in the numerous cultural events, sports telecasts, communal t’ai chi classes, twilight jazz concerts, impromptu live performances, and more. The square is surrounded by several popular bars, restaurants, art galleries, and public lecture halls, which gives Federation Square a near-constant lively atmosphere.

Paddy’s Markets

The expansive, 1000-stall Paddy’s Markets will put you in mind of the great, chaotic bazaars you would expect to find in the Middle East. Instead of hookahs and Persian carpets, though, you will find concert t-shirts, mobile phone covers, and knock-off sneakers. Whether you are there to haggle or simply to browse in awe, Paddy’s is an interesting way to pass an afternoon.

Good clean safe

Dec 2009 - Chris Flynn, Thirroul

A good choice for location and reliability. Only negative is the air-conditioning was a bit intense in the room. Was still a bit under construction when I was there but that didn't really matter.

Functional

Jul 2009 - Anonymous, Sydney

Stayed in a single room during July. Very clean, good digital TV, heating excellent. Bathrooms OK but floors and toilets always wet from the showers - could really use shower curtains.

For the price very good, would stay there again.

The room was small and stuffy as there were no windows, the bed was cold as there was no blankets in the middle of winter!!! the bathrooms were horrible, you felt more dirty after going in them for a shower then before. the hallways smelt bad and the whole place needed a good clean. worst place ever!!!
